The Vote
Y’all get out and vote. I’ve never run for anything except best mandolin player on the Medical Staff (I believe all politics are local) but I do believe this: Be it Democrats or Republicans in office makes no difference. Until lawmakers show respect for the people who work hard and who honor the rights of their neighbors, there will be a demand for change at each new cycle. We may never see reform, but can hope for it until the end.
I am against anyone who is so arrogant they believe they have the intelligence, the insight, or the right to micromanage my life, or my neighbor’s life, from afar.

Arrogant is the word. Here’s my take on what would happen if businesses related to their customers the way politicians do. http://www.theradicalear.com http://bit.ly/b7tp7G

Thompson,
In my business as a Doc if I am not kind to people and try to do my best by them, they will find someone else. (and should) I’m glad they still have that right.

I can fully agree with you about “micro-managing”… the issue before us is about “macro-managing”… and it is not being done so well… we (progressives and conservatives) can’t even agree on what to manage… unfortunately it appears too many of our elected officials manage their bank accounts better than what would be in the best interest of America…
I only wish it was as easy as strumming…

zukun,
Man, so true. When I play the mandolin it always responds with the truth, and returns so much good for both me and my friends for my humble efforts. How I do wish political (and for that matter the rest of life)could be so simple.

morning Dr. B,
do you really play the mandolin? I really like listening to bluegrass, esp listening to the mandolin 🙂

Jel,
Yep. I’ve been a doc for a living but played semi-pro mandolin for many years. I’m a good amateur, but one listen to my mando pals Darin Aldridge (Darin and Brooke Aldridge) and Wayne Benson (Russell Moore and III Tyme Out) is more than enough to convince me to hold onto my stethoscope.
Check out my book, “The Mandolin Case” on Amazon. It’s a medical legal mystery solved by bluegrass people.

Jel,
It’s a fun read. Check out the reviews on Amazon. I’m just getting started with it, and already having a big time.
