Quotes From Readers

We keep getting quotes from readers after submission of the final draft for the third edition of “The Mandolin Case.” I won’t be able to get them in the book for a while, so I’m gonna collect them here.  (More due up soon)

Reader Quotes

I’ve always known Dr. B (Tommy) was a great picker, but turns out he’s a talented writer as well.  I remember fondly our days as medical residents, picking together in an all physician bluegrass group.  With The Mandolin Case he has captured the joy of playing bluegrass music, while also giving insight into the challenges and rewards of practicing medicine.  The pitch perfect regional dialect evokes the spirit of Appalachian bluegrass pickers.  Masterful storytelling, indelible characters, high drama, The Mandolin Case has it all! – Doug Batchelor M.D. Emergency Physician and Mandolinist for Misty River

I got a note on my desk the other day from this sweet young lady. Her Dad and I played basketball together many years ago. It makes you realize “The Mandolin Case” is a “Circle Be Unbroken” kind of project. -Dr. B

“…..I saw the write up in Our State Magazine and really enjoyed reading the book. I loved reading how Bones and Indie escape tough times through their music. It’s a beautiful get-away……” -B.B.G.
