Darin and Brooke Aldridge Festival
This weekend is the annual spring Darin and Brooke Aldridge Bluegrass festival, so you know where I’ll be. In additional to the Aldridges, the Grascals will be there friday, and The Harris Brothers on Saturday, and many other fine bands are booked. There is also some open mic time, so you never know will show up. Fine friends, music, food and pretty spring days. Hope to see you there.

Hope that the festival at the weekend was everything you expected. I just clicked on the Aldridge website and enjoyed the Grascals clip – I’m very envious, nothing like that here in Argyll!
I’ve belatedly discovered a link between my part of the world and yours. I was at a meeting in a hotel in Oban, and lo and behold, on the wall there was a big plaque from Scotland County, NC. Turns out that Oban is twinned with Laurinburg. You anywhere near there?

Part of my raising was in Wagram, and even smaller Riverton, both are close to Laurinburg, The connection to the kidred from ‘across the pond is very strong, esp down East. ( I now reside in the Piedmont.)
