Dear Doc , That is wonderful news ! You and the missus will be the greatest Grandparents to the little one .
I have only just read of your illness Doc and I am , along with so many others who love you, praying that your fellow “Docs” will do whatever is right to bring you back to full health soon. I know that you are a man of faith and I am sure that will help you and your family through until you are whole again.
We Love you Doc , so “Hold Fast to the Right” as you have always done and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Godbless,
Kenny

That’s the way to do it Dr. B…jump in with both feet and come up for air as you are starting to swim.
Glad to hear it’s gonna be a boy. Tell your son to start telling him about his grandpa right now if he hasn’t already started. I am a firm believer that the little ones can hear and understand while they are in the womb.

This is good news, which obviously has given you joy. Joy and faith, along with family will help you through.
Oh yes, start those treatments early. Early start, early cure, which we, along with so many others, are praying for.

Catching up on my reading this sleepless night. What a mixed bag life gives us. I’m glad God sent you this great joy to temper the other uncertainties. Congratulations and remember you are in the thoughts and prayers of many.

Very good news – must be a huge boost in morale for you and your family. Hope you won’t hold it against the wee feller if he turns out to prefer jazz to bluegrass, though! Continuing to remember you.

Dr. B….With all the wonderful thoughts, prayers, and love going out for you right now there’s no doubt in my mind you’ll be back to yourself in no time. I’m a firm believer in the healing power of all of the above. Congrats on the new addition to your family. My mom says if she’d known how much fun being a grandparent was she would have done that first. : ) You’re in my prayers each and every morning before I sit down to write. My topic for June is the lost art of letter writing and I smile right now and think–I bet Dr. B has some quote-worthy thoughts on that topic. I will most certainly write you a letter as part of the month. Take care and stay close to that beautiful lady who helps keep your blood pressure regulated. kc

Thanks y’all. I have prayed God will clear a path for me to continue to serve my people in spite of this obstacle. Maybe part of tht is gonnna be that I get to hold this child close and along with his wonderful parents help teach him that true love and true families sre still here on Earth, and if we pursue that we can thrive in spite of all adversity.

Dr B,
Ever since seeing your previous post, my prayers have included you and your wonderful family. I truly believe that you have a long path to travel with your soon-to-be grandson. Since I met you last year at MACC (and whizzed through the book), I have felt a part of your extended bluegrass family. You have been blessed in the past and I believe with all my heart that you will continue to be blessed and overcome this tumor.
My travels this summer include your area of NC and would love to seeya if the good lord is willing.

Ron and Connie, Bless your hearts. We are confined to N.C. for now but Florida is on our radar, maybe for next year.

After the experiences Bill & I had this year, I have struggled with the old question, “Why do bad things happen to good people?” Certainly this also applies to you. While I don’t have an answer, I do know God is there to see us through those times, and HE will take care of us. Glad your treatment is starting early – you will be healed earlier and able to enjoy that little one. God Bless!

Carolyn, Your question is one I have also pondered many times. I suspect we will not fully understand until the reunion in Eternity.
